I want to say thanks and share my gratitude to everyone in the practice. I often hear of friends and colleagues frustrations as they are not able to get an appointment at their GP surgery. I feel extremely lucky to be able to book an appointment at a time convenient to me. This is particularly important as I travel a great deal for my job. The reception team are always so polite and helpful and they should feel really proud of their slick appointment system. I do not visit often but I always receive an efficient and friendly service from reception, doctors and nurses alike and feel extremely lucky to have The Ferns on my doorstep. Thank you.

My daughter who is at UCA became ill today 23.3.15. Her condition deteriorated and as she is some hours from home we were grateful that the receptionist took our concerns seriously and fitted her in at the end of tonight's surgery. We would like to thank all of those involved.

This surgery is now nothing short of being a joke. And an unfunny one at that. I had been ill for just over a month and wanted to get the issue resolved as it was impacting my job. So I call up and talk to quite possibly the rudest, most self important people on the plantet (I rank traffic wardens about these people) to then be told I've got to take time out of my working day to sit and wait. And wait. And wait. And carry on waiting until the doctor decides to see me. I did this twice. And on both occasions, I was told it was a virus, go home and do steam inhalation blah blah. Even after my glands were up and I couldn't swallow. Even after I could breathe properly because my chest was so wheezy. So after 2 inadequate examinations (because these fabulous doctors are more interested in rushing you in, sitting you down, not listening to word you have to say, before telling you to come back in a week if you're no better) I was sent on my merry way feeling upset, frustrated and very drained. It's only then that I was told to make an out of hours gp appointment that I was finally listened to, finally examined properly and FINALLY told that I had severe bronchitis. Well done ferns medical practise. Bravo doctors. Thankfully it was nothing more serious. Thankfully it wasn't anything life threatening. But how long before these "doctors" miss something very serious, all because they're cutting appointments down (my shortest being just short of a minute, having timed it for curiosity purposes) it's no wonder people are forgoing doctors surgeries for hospitals, with the service and care you get at the ferns. Absolutely disgusting. The doctors and receptionists/would be doctors should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. Swift move of surgeries and very strong advice that people should NOT register at this circus act surgery.
